What areas of life are more likely to be disrupted by innovations than others? Maybe: which elements of a culture are most highly conserved over time? (compare evolutionarily-conserved genes)

I bet you could look at what parts of a non-European culture were retained (vs not retained) after industrialization and foreign contact Seems like language is highly conserved, religion somewhat less so, modes of production and daily life not much at al

No I am familiar with both! Cords come in and out of style and are still basically acceptable casual wear I think Bell bottoms are a genuine passing fad I think
