Can you name the most salient argument for Supply-side economics?
(You were a money cop after all. I know next to nothing about it imo.)

Well in the sense that it can produce the most overall good for the economy? I kinda feel as though, as with most things, it probably could be enacted in a positive manner with the proper safeguards to incentivize growth; but that IRL this wouldn't happen, so it's no good.(?)

(Assume that statement I just made was as vacuous as it sounds though. I really don't 'know' what that means afaict. Knowing your background I thought maybe you had a ready-made answer for that question. Is it plausible? I suppose that's my main question. Thanks.)

np ^^ I think partly "supply side" is kind of badly defined at this point There are some supply side policies that are likely to ultimately be large wins even for workers (many deregulations, many reductions in corporate taxes), others probably a wash or worse

Ah I see. So there's not really a quick easy answer for me and I should've perhaps seen that lol. Thank you very much. I will try to see if I have any questions that are more specific. This economics stuff and its externalities still get so confusing to me. I never know what to

what to believe is best. I just know first-hand about the amount of bullshit hoops companies can be forced to jump through while other loop-holes are missed entirely. So deregulation/some taxes reduced makes perfect sense, but like all other policy, it need be nuanced lol...Idk

I just wish I felt like I really had some clue as to what is going on or what is best. I feel like I can only ever have a half-assed opinion on this lol. I want to rectify that but Idk how to trust one Economist over another, except by blindly listening to ppl Hundo suggests

Yeah honestly it's probably best to not have an opinion :c Even with training it's hard to know with any confidence We can come up with multiple explanations for most things, and our ability to determine which model is the correct one for any situation is quite limited

Oh for sure! It's always a pleasure when someone asks "what do you think" and actually wants the answer rather than just looking for an Authority to justify what they already believe :)

Oh I don't really feel comfortable in believing much. It's a gift and a curse.

You ever catch me believing something, please check me lol. I'd hate to be a hypocrite lacking self-awareness.
