No idea -_- I guess save early and hard and pray for compound interest to do its work If you get lucky and realize 10 years of 7% returns on whatever you have at thirty, that's a rough doubling at least

I mean, I have a high interest savings account + a 401k with excellent matching + a Roth IRA and I’m still worried and I realize that’s a bounty many don’t even come close to.

Well . . . you can put away about 50k/year tax advantaged Probably a good starting point I guess, if you can do that in your 20s you're well off indeed Part of the problem is the target grows with income :/
