My parents have an extreme class difference between them, and I tend to baffle class radar or read as tryhard middle. Make of that what you will.

Fully dysfunctional family, with sexual abuse, chasing with guns, schizophrenia including shock therapy, and at least one murder of a child. Married into middle class. I'm not money driven, but worked enough to support family on one check. Often feel looked down on. Awful.

Ugh, I'm sorry. That's bullshit. :( Kind of wonder if the trick is to marry with at least two classes' difference If you marry just one class apart there's constant tension because adjacent classes resent each other / worry about being mistake for one another

I'd rather everybody was decent. My wife is perfect and "classless." The children grew up unprivileged and mostly what I hoped for. Just straight-up humans. With flaws, some of my mental issues, but they manage it well. Way better than me.
