The last time something like this happened was after 9/11 but the neocons never had ambitions like this it seems like Wonder if because popular opinion swung so hard and completely it wasn't really necessary to achieve their aims Whereas the culture war has less broad support

Big thing to watch for would be deplatforming of elected national Republican politicians from mainstream news media and social media Kind of a bummer, had thought things had turned a corner but maybe was just a lull Or it could die down for good Idk

Probably could scrape data from http://opensecrets.org or FEC? So many aren't really regional, like multinationals corporations. But we don't begin to know it all. Giving overpaid jobs to children of officeholders, inside info on investments. So many ways to influence.
