it used to be how things were done it was probably net neutral from a policy side but it was very good for political stability
basically some bribery is probably useful in offsetting certain bad tendencies that come from (i) a plebiscite and (ii) an overzealous regulatory apparatus not really a moral claim, just "if you do X you will probably see outcome Y"

that idea makes sense to me, actually but i don't think this kind of quasi-doxing is going to put people off contributing to pols, as long as they can still get some quid for their quo but, it probably won't end there :/
