Asked my friends if they thought I was good at my job and a good person. They overflowed with affirmations. I asked them if their opinion of my work and friendship would change if they knew I hadn’t voted Clinton. They immediatelt said yes and got very cold.

Or, god forbid, Trump. Even if they had years of seeing me be a good friend and good teacher, it would all be erased just if they thought I voted differently than they wanted.

I just don’t think it should matter that much how we vote or what our faith is if, in actions, we are good to people and good at our jobs. The presumption that simply voting Clinton means I’m a good person is wholly incorrect.

How can we possibly maintain a society if we think a large amount of the population is inherently evil and unsaveable just because of their vote? Not even talking to them about reasons or finding common ground

Am i crazy to at least attempt to love and respect my fellow man? To believe someone’s vote is their personal right and not my business? I know neutrality isn’t cool but I don’t feel I’m being neutral, I feel I am acknowledging that those without my politics are human too
