What do you think of current AAA movies To me it seems like they're lost, maybe just romanticizing the past though
-
Last one I saw was the original Thor I think Had three cocktails and fell asleep halfway through

On the other hand, you could remake My Man Godfrey (1936) tomorrow, and if you set it in SF no one would bat an eye

They were mostly better back then. People wrote movies about people rather than movie characters. All the actors now talk like they’re in a movie and need to be melodramatic to keep the moocows entertained
-
Now I'll tell you, sonny, things were different back then. The actors, they talked like people. Not like characters, the way you hear them talk in the movies they make nowadays. Artificial, is what I'm saying. The characters in movies nowadays, they just sound artificial.
