what im taking away from responses is that (i) gyms are a sacred space, and (ii) the impulse to keep sacred spaces segregated is Strong (iii) maybe for Reasons???

I don't think it's possible to totally desexualize social displays of any sort of course they're not *just* sexual but even sternly restricting overt sexuality is acknowledging how ubiquitous it is
