When I was a kid, I didn't understood Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life at all. I slept all day, trying to speed run the years and see the rest of the story. The story is not the point. The point is enjoying your time on the farm and with your friends in town while you still can.

(Many of my followers did not grow up in the early-00s) In Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, you live for decades on your farm, multiple characters die or move away during various time skips, your hair goes gray, your son is born and grows up. You die without saying goodbye.

Ugh. Just still thinking about the end of A Wonderful Life. The last scene of you alive is a completely ordinary conversation with your wife where she mentions you have wrinkles. The default response is to say something rude. You must make a choice to say she's still pretty.
