would they be human enough that a majority of people would feel shame of putting them in zoos or have we not progressed enough as a species? tl:dr how would we treat our kin?

to answer your question denisovans terrify me more. they likely had a much greater sense of smell and live in high altitude areas so they could run longer distances than you/me

there's a lot of evidence that we displaced them simply because we fucked a lot more, not because we were better fighters

I was referring to the "can run longer distances", but huh, cool. did we just fuck each other or also them (like the neanderthals?)

our penises are larger and plunger shaped unlike a lot of other primates seems to suggest there was a lot more sexual competition in our early ancestry instead of male infighting like gorillas. I could explain why but it might get a bit hairy. I've read a lot of ice age books

hm but counter to that is our testicles are relatively small and sperm less virgorous/numerous suggest less gamete competition iirc?

it's all about tradeoffs. more sperm means proportionally large gamete, at least from what I've read, and that comes with complications since females are the limiting factor in population growth I'm sure there are factors due to that that we're are cognizant of.
