What would be great is an app that tells coders when they are about to make algorithms that serve paedophilic videos to kids in order to monetize their attention. Or willfully create filter bubbles that propogate extremist behavior and divided nations to make more profit ..

Or to warn coders they are tracking every move we make so that they can steal and repurpose underpaid journalists ideas and content and make even more money from ads that we are falsely lead to be more valuable and create a culture where factchecking is too expensive

Somehow we let responsibility be an externality. Morality be optional. We got conned into thinking the people who were smart enough to make code must be empathetic enough to understand human nature. & cos these people got suffiently rich we decided to worship them not doubt them

I will never stop being angry and astonished and write regularly about this. Because these people moved fast, broke society, got rich and then didn’t apologise, accept their responsibility, be held to account, or change in any single way. But yay,Check out the shareholder value
