I think that’s right. But the problem includes more mainstream media as well. I like Robby Soave. I like Conor Friedersdorf. Neither should be grouped together with Campus Reform, but I think they’re really dropping the ball here and in analogous cases.

Thinking about this a bit more: Individually, each of the journalists I name check may have a reasonable explanation for why they didn't write about this story. As a collective, however, their silence points to a real blindspot and potential failure in their reporting, imo.

Honest question here,
@JeffreyASachs, has seeing the responses from many of the people you named - who immediately condemned this instance of censorship - changed your mind on them being hypocritical, rather than realising they'd just heard about the case?3 replies 0 retweets 7 likes -
That they just heard about the case may suggest asymmetry even if not hypocrisy. Where the asymmetry is would be an interesting question.

Robby Space at least said he'd heard of it, thought about writing about it, and moved on to other things because it looked like to university wasn't taking any action. Would he have done so if it was a right-wing proof saying "kill the abortionists"? I dunno.

Of course he wouldn’t have. Anyone claiming that Soave overlooked this case for any other reason than rank partisanship is lying to themselves.

You are one of the most close-minded, incoherently angry partisans I have ever interacted with on this site. Your opinion on Robby Space means nothing. Your certainty about what he would do in a hypothetical situation means less than nothing Goodnight

We don’t have to think about this hypothetically. The evidence was shown plain as day today.
