your point is good but I still feel like there might be something there, in the difference maybe it's not repetition and application of language per se, but rather the way it's done? Most memes are reactions or some other opportunity for humor, rather than sorted by topic?

like, you don't have a meme for temperance or prudence, not really. even if you do, they're less likely to be mentally sorted that way, because they don't present initially as "wisdom" (broadly) but as mere touchstones in themselves. dunno
