The most important factor leading me to my previous life as a libertarian was a belief that we cannot become mature, unique, whole, strong, "ascended" people on command. That forced, impersonal kindness (for example) made us less capable and probably less kind. 1/3

Tax freedom day and flag burning and how many rothbards on the head of a pin, etc, I didn't care. I mainly wanted people to be free to make mistakes and find their way. The practical stuff (fewer licensing reqs, competitive currency issue, legal weed) was...just practical. 2/3
