masculinity is in fact fragile and women can easily trash it by merely defecting rather than cooperating in its maintenance, and after decades of casual encouragement to do this at the drop of a hat as if there were no costs involved, only benefits, there isn't much of it left

I guess I'm not inherently suggesting causality (though I represented it that way as was presented to me by Bret Weinstein) but I guess the point is that we don't know what is good or right. Societal principles that seem moral and just may be biologically bad, and vice versa.

Also, possibly, even if causal, it may be that some ideas are inherently worth being available to opt into despite biological/mental self-harms that may occur. Laissez faire me would like to see those risks quantified. Pessimistic me hopes they aren't exploited as science.
