125/1000. Interesting thing about trying to do a lot of a thing is to notice where the bottlenecks are. The primary muscles used in a pullup are the lats and biceps, but as I'm sitting here now, it's my abs that are most sore. My grip is also suffering, and limiting me atmpic.twitter.com/yJ4fq78trZ
At 144/1000 and I need to take a day or two off, or I’m going to break the skin and have to take several days offpic.twitter.com/vi8qI2IBpe
After a couple of days off, I just managed a personal best of 7 pullups in 1 set, which I don’t think I’ve done in over a decade- when I was like 20kg lighter. Feels good! [Pullups 145-151 out of 1000]pic.twitter.com/0JGxfv0yZP
just hit 200 pullups, you can see the form is getting smoother i'm not specifically trying to do anything different, I simply trust that the form will get better by itself [these were pullups 190-194] loosely hoping to do 300 in February, ie have done 500 total by Marchpic.twitter.com/N05iFwN18h
Just hit 250, ie 1/4 done This is my second set of the day and I’ve been getting sore over the past few days so gonna take a couple of days off maybe Funnily, my glutes are slightly sore too. Would not have guessed that would happen. Apparently it’s from having to “stabilize”pic.twitter.com/v9pk4TlqTC
Calluses update I’ve just started to read a little more into the mechanics of doing good pullups. An interesting piece of advice I found was to focus on your shoulders (activates lats), not your elbows (activates biceps). Seems like good advice, form seems smoother for itpic.twitter.com/gculh2zCMg
Just a quick note that I am now kind of naturally curious about the importance and effects of stretching, as a consequence of all of the above. This is one of the cool things about doing large volumes of anything; you get naturally led to new interests bc of effects of scale
hit 300 [pullups 295-300] going from 6/set to 9/set seems harder than 3 to 6, but I’m trusting in the process. A fit friend commented “6 is the new 5”, which is true. I think the form is getting smoother, but there’s still loads of room for improvement. Looking forward to itpic.twitter.com/XmKhNxlKfw
Still annoyed by the little forearm and leg wiggles. I can do without them, but then progress will be a lot slower and I’m willing to compromise a little for the sake of volume
