I always had you pegged as a techie, but Debian techies are the best. Wanted to ask if there was any initial surge on power draw when spinning up the cards initially? With drives, I stagger init so they aren't all sucking amps at once. Don't know if such a utility exists for PCIE

Oh interesting! I didn't notice this when I did my power calibration but I have to admit I wasn't paying close attention. Breakers flip after a few hours if you draw more than 80% rated load (vs ~immediately for 100%) so I wasn't too concerned about startup spikes.
