why does anyone object to building a wall with such vehemence i still dont understand this seems like your options are (i) you actually want literal open borders or (ii) its purely symbolic weird twitter people excepted, and i say that with love, (i) seems a pretty sparse camp

this is approximately the current policy though. it's not an explicit auction, but rather an implicit one based on securing corporate or academic sponsorship for visas.
