why do people assume a nuclear attack would come during the day

do they? I mean I'm relying on window explosions to be alerted by the early SLBM strikes on the military bases outside town, seemed like that would be a good signal day or night

when you live in a town with a major naval base, you just kind of assume you're gonna be toast in the event of nuclear war and put it out of your mind

well as long as the base is a solid 15 miles outside town you're ok and you get the early warning before the slower ICBM wipes you out
