most words don't even have suffixes, this entire system makes like negative sense

that being said i feel like etymology is hella underappreciated in (cheap) print dictionaries. i love wiktionary for this reason, since I just discover like a stream of vocab in English, Old English, random Proto-Germanic root words, cognates in Latin etc.
