I don't get a lot out of Quillette most of the time, but this is a good framing of the macro-scale situation. In a broad sense, I guess! But it’s maybe more similar to e.g. the Jewish Priestly movement and to Brahmanism (both principally concerned with the relationship between priests and kings) than to modern politics (about The People) or moral ideologies (generally universalistic)?

Maybe in this framework call it metapolitical? Ie they want to make real or centralize a priestly politics and morality displacing your conception? No strong feelings about this, just playing with the concept
