Luther did things like "read the Bible" and "interpret it himself" to conclude certain practices of the Church were invalid Implicit in this was the validity of one man reading and judging scripture although Luther didn't support this generally Mostly I was just making trouble

I’d go with Calvin’s Geneva for the closest analog, but yeah. Although interestingly the internal politics of the Habsburg dual monarchy post-1867 replicates a lot of contemporary faultlines in a largely Catholic context.
