Yeah the pretense of being Right and Good probably has a lot to do with it maybe whichever side is taking itself more seriously is more intolerable in proportion

I know I do. It's because they claim an undeserved overall superiority. They're larger hypocrites w/free speech issues. Also, having been a former member of the smug, Daily Show with John Stewart Left, my expectations for the Right seem to be permanently lowered.

I think the left has connotations of grand goals and reforming things and if they cant even manage to not be animals like everyone else then it directly implicates their own ambitions and morality the right has more grounded ambitions
