You know how in game theory, you sometimes randomize strategy selection to avoid being too predictable to other parties?
Well, is there a term for that, and terms for implementation variants like

Is there a mathematical/terminological distinction between "randomizing "within" game" (as in wikipedia example) and randomizing strategy choice (including choice of playing pure or mixed, if available), or is it basically SSDD?

yeah that's where game theory gets tricky when multiple equilibria exist, you have to refine conditions for equilibrium to make predictions about which will actually be played theory papers frequently contribute novel equilibrium conditions of varying practical utility
