my uncle's a welder and he seems to do alright. you need to be happy taking orders from someone else though

kind of easier that way tbh I think one aspect of office work I dislike is . . . a kind of responsibility without control love to do my own projects without constraint, but if I'm doing someone else's work I don't much care if they're directing it

yeah my buddy who manages a line at boeing has this problem in his free time he runs tabletop games, hes the sort of GM who builds dungeons/runs/etc out with meticulous detail the physical tech debt at boeing makes him tear his hair out
