If you wanna just learn stuff, ask people on Twitter what's good--there are a lot of wet science folks into this stuff, and if you can handle coursework you can pick up MS level material on your own anyway.

A more direct career path is applying to dev jobs at biotech firms. They exist, and there will be more of them soon. And learning in situ is a lot cheaper than paying $120k plus two years salary

5-7 years poverty wages working 70h weeks on a project that maybe pans out. If it has results, 2-3 more years earning 60k as a postdoc, similar hours. Tenure track pays more if you get it but you don't do science, you manage a lab and write bullshit grant applications. :/
