flash of inspiration he's going to have the personality and voice of the narrator in Murray Head's _One Night in Bangkok_ perfect reproductions of which, incidentally, are how I use free speech as violence in karaoke bars

spent some time this weekend tweaking the concept, polishing the build now, will post when finished I think its pretty abusive though, excited to handle every one of the party's support functions and remain semi-immortal while doing it

the rest of the party is apparently something like: 1. ork monster 2. agility adept / demolitions (???) 3. something something squishy face which pretty much left me on the hook for both decking and magic think im gonna make the most of it

I can toggle between having Armor (5) up and getting 22 dice against damage, or having Increased Logic (5) up and kicking logic up to 11 to resist drain and also to crush matrix action roles Very excited to have discovered Sustaining Foci tonight, things are de rigueur

ultimately ran with a decker/magician with some heavy Edge/Focus cheese that keeps me safe with: a) 5 BOD b) 5d6 + 14 Initiative in physical/AR c) 10 LOG d) 5 INT e) 6 WIS f) 20+ armor g) 7+ hit improve invis only 12 dice in my casting/conjuring pool, but I hack with 16

Ran my first session yesterday, the Ork and the Adept busted me out of a Renraku low security facility. They put a bag over my head and my cheese spells were down to avoid astral detection, so I spent the time in hot sim to hacking the gates open while they fended off security.

A F6 Air Spirit nearly wasted the Ork the last combat phase + my banish pool is only 7 dice, but we peeled out the next round and (i) air spirits can't run for shit and (ii) the DM didn't think to use Engulf. Caught the drone tailing us + bricked it too. Success all over.

Final character sheet incidentally. Need to keep rerolling to get more hits on sustained Force 1 Edge-boosted Armor and Increased Reflexes spells . . . get one roll per day downtime, these were just the starting values. Should be able to get up to 10 hits after a few runs.pic.twitter.com/geAPXlf6jB

Ended up with 5 karma leftover from the build. Thought about taking Levitate because man what a cool spell, but decided I'm going to just bank this to save up for a customized high-Force Ally Spirit in ten or fifteen sessions.

Second session today First one we nearly died when I was extracted from Renraku in a Stuffer truck Today we're nearly done disassembling a 20-member street gang, they've yet to get a shot off My Air Spirit doing terrifying work Engulfing GM served *exquisite* ribs at break

Tropes are not bad.

unsure whether I'm embarrassed that I didn't know a thing was a trope or that I reinvented an existing trope be kind of like some naife pitching this great plot " . . . for a War . . . see, it's a war, but it happens . . . get this, among the Stars"
