I worry that people I've never met will see a tweet like the one that sparked this thread, then write me off without knowing that it's inaccurate. That's a sad and scary thought

Additional musing: Once you reach a certain level of prominence, you become a target for outrage engineers. I don't think I'm at that level of prominence, but I have a nonzero chance of reaching it within the next few years. Gotta start threat modeling now. Suggestions welcome!
