nothing wrong with quoting scripture as a nonbeliever imo, there's Tons of great insight in there, I do it all the time but doing it to grandstand--Quoting Scripture instead of quoting scripture--is super-gross was gross when Sessions did it and its gross when bluechecks do it

What's your opinion on using it to point out hypocrisy?

hmmmm as in, like--AHA you say you believe X from religion but your religion also says Not X? mostly dislike that too I think Really hard to identify the True Tenets of an ancient religion as an outsider and seems wrong to claim knowledge of which actually believed by someone

No, I moreover mean in situations where it's like, something essential to the faith, or if they constantly use their faith to justify shitty actions.

Esp. if they justify it with religious reasons.

Why not just condemn the policy as inhumane on its mm objective or universal/unconditional merits? "You're a hypocrite" maybe seems like weak argumentation in a political sphere I guess

Primarily, because I don't think a call out against someone being hypocritical in their practice of faith has been done in a presidential debate yet, and none of them seem to have any *real* remorse when called out for inhumane decisions otherwise. Fair, though.
