no opinion about the original post, however i think its true that theres way too much "splitting" and not enough "lumping" In gender and sex these days https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lumpers_and_splitters … what's the problem with this? a few things, both practical and theoretical https://twitter.com/GodDoesnt/status/1003993476890054656 …

diagnosis: you don't like people and only sort of like sex, which is fine, let a thousand flowers bloom, you do you
-
i like sex and i am very good at it which i like more than the sex itself if were being honest, theres more to do with pride here but i want to be appreciated for the reasons that i think people should appreciate me and that is infeasible in many cases with novel partners
-
so what you do here is you hang out with a single TON of people, chitchat, allow each other's personal mythologies to permeate the background sociality, and then you chain-fuck people one by one and maybe the first one doesn't appreciate you right, but by the third or fourth...
-
good way to burn a social group to the ground ime
-
only bad ones; good ones have resilient drama-management protocols and bonobo up perfectly well.
-

Why not have sex at their apartment? Wish hourly hotels were more common for this very reason. I don't like having people in my home. "Desire for cuddling afterward" should probably be a criterion on tinder; would help users find the best purely-fuck-buddies.
-
it's really hard to predict that preferences over sort of thing in advance though I think also i mean its a little bit moot for me given that im married and everyone whos not us gets kicked out afterward anyway
-
*loud, groaning nut* *annoyed glance at guest* "why aren't you a pizza yet?"

there's no non-weird to say "it's hilarious and delightful to me how much you sound like my fiancee right now" here is there
-
yay! [claps between words] sex doesn't have to be intimate!
-
that's true! but it's hard to avoid in most situations
-
It really is. That's why I have a twin bed.
-
it's only a twin bed if you're regularly bedding twins in it!
-
My last one-night stand had to spend three hours driving me back and forth.
-
I admire their commitment to being invited back for another-night stand.
-
They'll get another shot, which means a lot considering such a large amount of time for small talk.
