I think keem is correct to some extent, YouTube is a private platform that can do whet it wants, but YouTube needs to remember that if they treat their creators so badly there will be no variety of creators left and viewers will start leaving...

Another thing is that YouTube can’t really monitor who watches what videos, yeah you can put age restrictions but many times people’s date of birth that they put in isn’t correct, so I think it’s also YouTube trying to monitor why content the children will watch

For example my favorite youtubers are commentary channels like Memeulous willne slazo etc which make “edgy” content as leafy would call it, YouTube doesn’t like that community so it demonitezs it, at some point they will leave because they don’t have an income

And with that their audience will leave and YouTube will eventually make less money
