Other notable backers of Loomer include Fox News hosts Jeanine Pirro and Pete Hegseth, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), and, of course, President Trump.
This tells you all that you need to know about the GOP in the Trump era. Racism is now an explicit feature and not a implicit one.
Yes. tRump has made them feel comfortable about saying it out loud. It’s always been part of the GOP platform, but they don’t have to pretend about it anymore.
the system is broken
Will be interesting to see how Florida responds
No it won't. She's in a very blue district and even a moderate Rep would get crushed against Frankel, who's been around forever and is popular.
The Republican Party has taken off its mask and shows its true self.
Was the mask ever on?

Not a Steve King fan, (not my district in IA either); how does national GOP distinguish its discipline & shunning of King vs. nom. of Loomer? Is it amount of extreme content over time, and not the (awful) quality of the content, that counts? Or do they regret the King opposition?
Backlash. They don’t chastise candidates for their conduct or stances, they chastise them based on the amount of negative press and word of mouth they generate. Loomer isn’t well known enough to cause that kind of tumult yet
