tbh - it sounds like they'll just be making a law that will allow Centrelink access to the Single Touch Payroll pay event data employers are currently required to report to the ATO for accurate lodgement of tax.

this means most welfare recipients wont need to report every fortnight since Centrelink would already have this information - and who doesn't want to spend less time dealing with Centrelink? It'll mean any under/overpayment will be the employers fault for stuffing up the payroll
