Say what you will about Bloomberg but the man didn't inherit millions from a rich daddy and then squander it and then get shady loans to stay alive. He also has way, way more money than Trump.

It's been a week. They're still at it. So much "economic anxiety" in the messages. If you're upset by the clip, please see the full 7 minute segment. You should be outraged by Pompeo's ugliness towards female reporters, his lies & Trump's endorsement of such cruelty & ignorance.

Here's the full segment with me and discussing how Pompeo disrespects female reporters, lies and Trump and his hardcore base praise such ugly behavior. Ignorance and cruetly is always rewarded and celebrated.

Recall: Rudy's claim of attorney-client privilege has been based on his PERSONAL representation of Trump. That's why Mulvaney always left the room. But now says Trump gave the order w/ Rudy, Mulvaney, Bolton & Cipollone all there. There goes attorney-client privilege!

As more damaging facts come out, senators who vote against calling witnesses will have to explain why they refused to consider all available evidence when the case was before them.

Trump's lawyers, Cipollone included, repeatedly denied having any knowledge of Bolton's allegations until the first stories came out. That's definitely not what the new revelations out of Bolton's book say. So...did they knowingly lie to the Senate?

“Professional legal ethics.” That’s a phrase that ought to be pretty damned important to those who legislate, and those in the judiciary, dontcha think?

So all the people who have been screaming and ranting about false representations by lawyers to a FISA court are going to be out of their minds about the President's lawyers lying to a Senate impeachment tribunal presided over by the Chief Justice, right? RIGHT?

So the GOP believes that it's up to the voters to decide. OK, well then it makes sense for the House to continue its investigation, so that voters can make an informed vote in November. I explained this morning to

JOHN KELLY: “If I was advising the United States Senate, I would say, 'If you don’t respond to 75 percent of the American voters and have witnesses, it’s a job only half done.’ You open yourself up forever as a Senate that shirks its responsibilities.”

John Kelly, describing Bolton as a "copious note taker," weighs in again. He says if there are no witnesses in the impeachment trial, "they kind of leave themselves open to a lot of criticism” and "it seems it was half a trial."

To summarize: There are multiple jurors who believe the defendant is guilty as charged but disapprove of the sentence that awaits him so they’re voting to acquit the defendant who they believe is guilty as charged.

Marie Yovanovitch, a career diplomat with decades of experience, has joined the Trump-era exodus of talent from our diplomatic corps. All our rivals, meanwhile, are beefing up theirs.

If you don't show fealty to Trump, you're no longer a conservative? What's "conservative" about that?

One can only deduce by Senate Republicans’ decision tonight to join Trump’s cover-up that they’re willing to enable his corruption if it helps them maintain power. They’ve abandoned the public interest, weakened our system of checks and balances, and should be held accountable.

That...wasn't the oath you took ("so help you God," btw). You swore to do impartial justice. Which means that if the House proved its case, you are obliged to find him guilty, not substitute your personal belief of what's in the public interest -- stop Dershing your reasoning

The WHOLE POINT of the US Senate, with its 6 year terms and minority power is to insulate senators from the flux of popular opinion. Party loyalty and the cult of personality around Trump killed that in a moment of crisis. The Senate failed. 1/2

Wow. Historian John Meacham told Brian Williams, when asked to assess the level of Trump's power after Senate Republicans took step 1 in voting that only the electorate can remove him but he can use his power to rig the election, that Trump is now "functionally a monarch."
