these are the helmet nodes btw! not a lot to it, just using the camera view angle as texture coordinates it's in the background because it faces inwards and draws backfaces as transparent. also had to set it to ignore diffuse rays or the entire inside is black

I love this look. I feel like the body should be smaller though. So that the head is bigger. Or maybe the body just needs to be shorter?

Wonderful! How does it look with camera rotation? You might want to consider(if not done already) offsetting the texture to create fake parallax to avoid a "wallpaper" feeling. The animation is so cute!
