This has happened to @lidnug 's channel on several occasions, but the best part was that the content claim was actually against a bit of music where there was actually silence in the video!! The compression we used created some ring noise artefacts that the content ID picked up.

Dave, we did not intentionally block the video, that was an automatic process. Everything should be back to normal now, please let us know if it is not the case. Thank you very much.

You effectively did do it intentionally when you enabled automatic channel-wide content ID for all your uploads when you KNOW that you upload news footage that uses content that is NOT yours. The buck ultimately stops with your decision to enable that.

Don't worry, entertainment and news industry lobbyists in the EU parliament are pushing mandatory ContentID like filters for everything and everyone, so we possibly get this crap even here on Twitter in the future ...

The copyright claim process is backwards. Providers should be out of the loop and exempt from litigation. You don’t see the phone company or power company getting sued because of a customer... it makes no sense.

As ridiculous as claiming white noise as copyrighted content.

We where told at the time of the strike however that once a claim has been launched against a video, then rebuted, and the claimant has stepped back and released the claim, that video can no longer be claimed as copyright again, so "canalplus" should NEVER have been able to claim
