Interesting, so it's not at all type-directed? The "normal" namespace is decluttered, but wouldn't it be nicer to prevent collisions in the projection namespace as well?
I think the main reason we still haven't introduced the leading `.x` syntax in Lean is that we're not sure whether it should instead have the Swift meaning of "constructor 'x' of expected type". They both seem useful...
The problem here was the ambiguity with using an explicit namespace. But I think @id1660's solution to that is fine, and it's a feature that people do seem to want a lot!
Although that other meaning seems useful too. We don't have anything like that (yet).
