I have, it was incredibly bouncy and so I couldn't work. My feedback is always met with platitudes but I suppose I'll try anyway. And I'm looking forward to longer and more frequent trains in Fife! At least there was space, which we don't get in Fife, especially on Sundays...

Hi Edwin, I can't say we've had many tweets from commuters saying they were unable to work on these trains, though I am sorry they're not to your liking. ^Paul

I was feeling a bit ill, I'm afraid, while typing on my laptop. But I was also a bit annoyed that the 7 carriages were largely empty having just got off a - yet again - crowded Fife train. I wish I could somehow get across to your managers that Fife exists, even on Sundays.

We can't run these trains in Fife, Edwin. The line isn't electrified. ^Paul

I realise that, and this is a teensy bit patronising. Surely we still deserve more space even though electricity still hasn't reached us. Honestly, I was about to apologise for being grumpy when it's not your fault, but surely you realise this isn't the issue?

... This means that more peak trains will be formed of 6 carriages and off-peak services will generally be 3 carriages. When the additional Class 170 trains are brought in, the longer trains will add more than 5,000 additional seats each day. [2 of 2]. ^Paul

You've been saying this forever. I'll believe it when I see it. I'm sure you're apologising inside for patronising me, anyway.

That wasn't my intention. Just trying to answer your questions Edwin. ^Paul

I'm sure it wasn't, but adding a "sorry" isn't so hard is it? (And sorry for being a grumpy old man, genuinely. I know you get a lot of us whinging and I know it's not your fault in the end, but I have no idea how to get any results.)

My colleagues and I are certainly as keen as you are to see the improvements in capacity come to Fife. I'm sorry it's not happening in December as we'd originally hoped due to the late delivery of the trains we'd ordered. I'm sure we'll chat again at some point! ^Paul

In a way, I hope we won't :). (and whatever my whinges, which are many, if I happen to run into any of you in a pub, I'll buy you a pint for what you put up with, but I will keep whinging in return...)
