APL is basically the Dark Souls of programming languages. I think my favourite detail is that you cannot even parse it without type information (and since functions are dynamically typed...)

APL indeed seems to be in vogue as a reference DSL, nowadays as a challenge to type systems to represent array processing for machine learning.
