This is pure garbage, another cheap shot at France. Yes, it happens a lot, that's true, but when it does we wash ourselves in the kitchen sink (if not occupied by rabid weasels, but that's not that common)

Curiously, Duolingo insisted that the answer should be "wash up" and I wondered who washed their dishes in the bathroom. Perhaps the cow will help.

I far prefer the desktop version of
@duolingo to the app version. -
It is generally better, yes, especially when typing, but not so much when I'm on the bus!
