My favorite thing about LaTeX's TC-ness is if you give it a program that doesn't halt it'll run out of (what is effectively) stack and then literally tell you to find a wizard to fix it.

I usually just delete things via something like binary search until it stops complaining. Is there another way?

I usually just delete the part of the document which eminates the most malice

I suppose if LaTeX doesn't like it, reviewer 2 isn't going to like it either
