I'm about to go abroad for a week or so. If the UK could manage not to do anything ridiculous while I'm away, that would be great. Meanwhile, I'm passing through London tomorrow evening if anyone fancies a pint. (Not too late though...)

My constraint is that I'd like to be in my hotel next to Heathrow at 11ish. Tell me where to go and when :).

So somewhere close to Paddington or the Piccadilly line then? I'm blank on this area -

You're not wrong. SMWS members room maybe? It's risky on Friday night but most places are riskier. ~60 mins to Heathrow via Paddington.

My starting point is usually the Euston Tap but I'm sure local knowledge helps :). My alternative plan is to go to Foyles and put Idris stickers in all the copies of The Little Typer while nobody's looking.

If you're getting in at Euston, SMWS is easy enough to get to, you could scout the Euston Tap and we can easily divert en route.

I'll be coming in at Kings Cross at about 6pm but I reckon it's the nicest pub nearby and only a 10 minute walk at most.

I'm off at ~6:30, how about you head there and report? If it's packed with clubbers we can attempt the Society instead.

That sounds like a good plan. Personally I'm happy for anyone to join in as long as they're not Brexiters :)
