I sometimes prefer the woodland walk. Either way, when you're doing nothing it can be the most productive time. Also this whole discussion reminds me of a colleague's t-shirt which says "weeks of coding can save hours of planning".

If you can work it out in your head first and find it can’t be done then you can save a lot of time by not writing the program - takes a few years practice to do this
