the Idris version of this is called “the”. You can just write “the Integer 3”
huh, I never needed to, so I don’t know. I guess in the places that you would need that, you’d have implicit args in Idris so you can explicitly write the implicit arg in the pattern in braces. (This sounds dangerously close to typecase...) @edwinbrady?
I've never thought of doing that. But yes, I suppose where you'd need it you could use implicit arguments. The same syntax ambiguity problem as in Agda applies. (Feature requests of this nature for Idris 2 will be considered :))
... And I should add that typecase is available in Idris 2 anyway :)
Can't help but notice you haven't called it 'blodwen' there. Should I read anything into that?
Not much. Blodwen is just a name I've been using to distinguish my experiments from the language, but it's now basically an implementation of what will become Idris 2.
