I went to the pub after work and met a software developer who told me that objects were the best thing ever and laughed at all my suggestions of alternatives. It's an interesting challenge. I wonder if

I should add, not that I think objects are inherently bad... I might think that asserting "[x] is the best thing ever" and laughing at alternatives is inherently bad though...

The less you known, the more you believe you do. Maybe another example of the Dunning-Kruger effect. But industry is changing recently. Lots of computer scientist became software engineers and top research projects such as Scala and GHC reached mainstream. Maybe Idris soon ;)
