I should add, not that I think objects are inherently bad... I might think that asserting "[x] is the best thing ever" and laughing at alternatives is inherently bad though...

Actually immutable class-based OOP is not a bad thing, it's a nice DSL to compose coalgebras.

There's lots of good stuff there, yes. Really, the thing I didn't like here was argument by confrontation rather than by questioning. Maybe it works for some, but not for me.

He couldn't even justify why OO was the best. He just claimed it was a given. Hard to argue with that sort of thing except to push on why they believe what they do...
