I have a standing offer to explain cricket when asked in person, because it's a sport I've loved for years and conveying enthusiasm about things is, in a sense, my job, but it turns out I might need to add a qualifier of: Only if nobody else tries to "help"

Fortunately when I'm being enthusiatic in class, people generally let me get on with it. Even on the occasions when I'm being enthusiastic about Software Engineering (It does happen!)

If there are people who vaguely know of cricket, they tend to want to throw in unnecessary complications to make it sound harder than it is. It's kind of how I feel when explaining type systems sometimes...
