About a year ago I made an off by one error in memory allocation in some C. I only know this because today I encountered the first (to my knowledge) segfault it caused. brb rewriting everything in Rust
The thing in question was on the boundary between a run time system and foreign function interface. The rts code was fine, the FFI call was bad, but not obviously so.

These tools are great, and if I was working entirely in C, wouldn't be without them. Still, there's definitely a way to use them to exercise the rts better rather than getting nasty surprises.
