For months I have been shorted $400. It has been so hard, we already met poverty guidelines: kids on free lunch & medicaid. The money they owe us is equal to a MONTHS worth of income for us, and now they won't pay us back. Can't help but wonder if this is a test to see how many EARNED benefits they can stiff people on before they run against the masses. IOW, a test run for ending Medicare and Social Security too.

yes! I paid into a CONTRACT for these GI Bill benefits and did my time. Now they are stiffing us? I think you are right on the nose here.

The struggles you endure as a poor person are not worth $1400 some day in the future. We need it NOW. What about the nights we have gone hungry? The shitty holidays? Not to mention the veterans who were evicted because they couldn't make rent... I appreciate the sentiment though
